While we strongly suggest booking a hotel within walking distance of grounds, we understand that is not always the case. Below you can find resources regarding personal shuttles, public transportation, and cell phone apps to download to help you make your way around Grounds and Charlottesville.  

For a shuttle bus service that you can reserve, please contact Albemarle Limousine.

For the University bus system, that runs Monday-Sunday at different operating hours, please look on the University Transit Service website.

  • You can also download the app during conference weekend to see routes and timetables. The app is called “TransLoc” (link to download). Please feel free to ask for assistance from your chairs or any VAMUN XLV staff!

For the Charlottesville bus system, that runs Monday-Sunday at different operating hours, please look on the Charlottesville Area Transit website. Please keep in mind that the Trolley is free, but other buses that run under the CAT service have fares, which you can also find on their website.
