WGSS: Third French Republic

Emerging from the years of turmoil and violence during the French Revolution and Napoleon's reign, France is a growing but self-concerned nation with many issues. A focus on internal problems leads to France turning a blind eye to many of the events leading up to the first World War. However, fear of a German nation that was growing ever more powerful led France to establish strong alliances with both Russia and Great Britain that would define French foreign policy leading up to WW1. France will have a highly important role to play in attempting to ensure stability within both its own orders and throughout Europe against an expanding German threat.

He is currently studying Economics and Psychology (as well as minoring in Spanish) with plans to apply to the McIntire Commerce School. In high school, he particpated in the Johns Hopkins Model UN Conference and served as editor-in-chief of the school newspaper where he had free range to trash all his poltical opponents en route to a failed dictorial takeover. Additionally, he interned with a sports website as a writer and entertained himself by picking petty fights with friends over irrelvant sports debates. At UVA, you can find him frollicking around Grounds with the Club Running team or awkwardly waving at people he met that one time from the friend of a friend's birthday dinner.
